We are currently seeking dynamic Food and Beverage Director to join our hospitality team.
The Food & Beverage Director is responsible for the managing of all activities of the Food and Beverage departments for The Woodlands Resort, including restaurant, bars, service bars, cocktail service and banquet operations.  He/she will identify, evaluate and develops strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction with the departments services.
  • Lead daily food and beverage operations of The Woodlands Resort, responsible for Guest service scores, revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure department staffing levels are met on a daily basis.
  • Interviewing hourly food and beverage candidates and making the necessary selection of qualified applicants.
  • Providing guidance, training, motivation, and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards, monitoring performance and completing performance evaluations.
  • Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Supervising and managing team members.
  • Managing all day-to-day food and beverage operations.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of all policies, procedures and quality standards within the division, utilizing a continuous improvement approach to ensure a high quality, cost effective and customer focused operation.
  • Ensure proper cash handling and tip pay out procedures is followed. 
  • Complete all required reports in a timely, accurate manner. 
  • Partner with marketing and public relations to ensure outlets programming activities are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Partner with culinary team to ensure menus are appropriately themed and accurate on the company website, guest room iPad and outlets.
  • Partner with recreation to support holiday and seasonal activities that require food and beverage.
  • Work in a cooperative and friendly manner with fellow employees, set a positive example.
  • Provide the highest level of guest service to the resort’s clients.
  • Keep accurate communications flowing freely among all resort departments.
  • Promote the hotel through goodwill, courtesy and a positive attitude.
  • Perform any reasonable request as assigned or directed by management.
  • Attend required training sessions offered by The Woodlands Resort.
  • Knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies and procedures relating to the food and beverage department.
  • Provide for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort. 
  • Perform all duties in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle complaints, settling disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, or 
    otherwise negotiating with others
  •  Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, additional language ability is a plus, however, not required.
  • Mathematical and computational ability.
  • Must possess computer skills.
  • Ability to assess/evaluate employees’ performance fairly.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments.
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of food and beverage operations experience or college degree equivalent in similar field
  • Experience in hiring, training, supervision, forecasting, budget preparation, and cost control in food and labor.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience preferred.
